Soft robotics is a subfield of robotics that uses flexible materials, like silicon rubber, to substitute the metal or rigid materials commonly used in robotics. These are inspired by natural structures, like the tentacle of an octopus. Soft robotics are mainly being used in healthcare and ocean exploration.

The design is made from fabric or laser-cut plastic, placed between two layers of silicon rubber to create an air channel. Then, we connect an air pump and control the air flow with a microcomputer.
