For this project, we had to create or revise a brand identity for an organization, institution, or advocacy group. After some research, I decided to create a non-profit that focuses on the mental health education of the elderly Latino community.

YUYAY

The word “yuyay” comes from the Quechua language, spoken in the Andean region of South America.

In Quechua, it can be literally translated to “mind” but it can also mean “to think,” “ to remember,” or “to devise.”

Yuyay’s logo was inspired by latin american lettering and the shapes used in hieroglyphics from the first civilizations of the region.

Yuyay aims to encourage the latino community to understand the importance of mental well-being and provide access to mental health resources to improve their daily lives.
